TAMPA WEATHER

Our Snap!Raise 2020 campaign has begun!

We are more than half way to our Snap!Raise goal! Thank you SO much to our amazing band students and parents for uploading your 20 emails and sharing our page on your social media. We are not to the finish line yet, so please continue to get the word out! It’s not too late to add to or upload your 20 emails if you haven’t already!

DIRECTORS UPDATES and REMINDERS:

Band families!

It’s hard to believe we only have two more weeks left of our marching season. If you have not yet been able to see our students in action during halftime, we hope you’ll be able to make it to our final home game next Friday October 30th against Plant High School. We will be welcoming some special guests – our middle school brothers and sisters from

Davidsen, HAMS, Smith, Webb, and Walker band programs!

We now have Raven Band hoodies, parent shirts, windbreakers hats and other items to show your support for our program and students. Items can be purchased by following the link and new band spirit items will continue to be added including parent polos, and more. Alonso Band Online Store

The logo at the top of the webstore is also the design for our new car magnets!

MIDDLE SCHOOL NIGHT

We are so excited to welcome some special guests for this amazing and fun night! Our middle school brothers and sisters from Davidsen, HAMS, Smith, Webb, and Walker band programs will have a chance to see what it's like to be a band member in High School! Obviously, this will not be a completely perfect introduction under the current alterations to our procedures, but we are so happy to be making this happen as we do each year.

Our middle school band friends will be assigned a high school band buddy that will ensure they have safe and AWESOME Friday night lights experience as a Raven Band member! After a joint pre-game performance with the middle school students, you will notice our band will be in a new location in the end zone for this game to ensure we can be as socially distanced as possible. We will still be performing our Bon Jovi show at halftime one last time!

***Reminder: No guest list is required for this game. Gates will be closed when capacity of 1500 spectators is reached**

FBA

Solo and Ensemble is scheduled to take place and the Florida Bandmaster Association is in talks about virtual competitions this year. The judges may come to schools instead of students traveling. All County has been rescheduled for Spring.
