REMINDER:

ALL-STATE BAND: For our wind and percussion players, All-State audition requirements have been released and are available on the FBA website at FBA All-State Information (flmusiced.org)  I want to encourage all our band students to aim high, take a look at the materials and work towards an audition. Being an All-State level musician is arguably  the highest possible musical achievement in the state of Florida and we want to see even more of our Alonso Band students working towards this level of musicianship. If you don’t already own the etude books, they are great to have, but many of them are currently sitting in the Alonso Band Room! Reach out to Mrs. Griffis to see if she already has your All-State materials!

It Takes a Village.....

Hands-on help from friends and family of our band program and it's members are critical to the success of our band programs.  Year-round there are many areas where extra hands, smiles, teamwork and all-around support are needed especially during fall marching season.  Some areas include the annual band banquet, carpentry projects, chaperoning, collect parking fees, fundraising, game day meals, homecoming events, special events at the school, loading/unloading equipment, transporting equipment, photography, provide water/gatorade, senior night events, uniform alterations, and more.

Hillsborough County Schools requires those who volunteer complete a volunteer registration process before being permitted to volunteer. It should only take (5) minutes to complete.

If you would like to join our village, please contact Sandy Anderson at sandyandersonrph@att.net or any of our other board members or you can browse the sign-up sheet to get started.
